I have defeated the Phantom!!!

Tonight was the first time that I actually drove our scooter. Its name is the Phantom!! I have always been scared to ride or drive a scooter because the first time I drove a scooter I had no instruction and my friend George jumped on the back and said, "Go Go Go!!!" I had no clue what I was doing and found myself driving into oncoming taffic and I crashed the scooter because I was so akward on it. I tore up my knee and tried to hide it from my mom and dad because I thought I would get in trouble being with George and trying to drive his scooter. So ever since then I have had a fear of scooters. Now that we own one Cody took me out and taught me from start to finish on how to drive and handle a scooter. It was pretty fun. I am not totally comfortable on it but I am getting there. I think I could get use to it. Good thing I had an awesome instructor. Me on the Phantom!!!
Cody is a pro on the phantom!!!

Long day at Orientation

Yesterday I had to go to an orientation at the school from 9am-5pm. It was full of paperwork, getting our pictures taken, buying our books and the rest of our instruments, learning how to use the librarys website and a whole lot of other busy work. We even went over some of the classes syllabus so rather than spending time doing that on the first day of class we can just jump right in and get started. We already have work that we need to do before monday so we can be ready for class. We will be graded on what we have done or not done over the weekend. This is crazy. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I just have to take it one day at a time and just think that I will have a break in the winter. That is a little motivating!! We went to orientation just with our purses and ended up coming home with this............................ Recieving all of these materials and all of our instruments made me feel a little better about knowing where all of our money is going.

WE are getting to know the area pretty well. I haven't had a car because cody is driving it so I am just car pooling with Caitlin whenever she needs to run errands I will go with her and get some of mine done too.

WE do have a pool in our community and unfortunately we have not been able to go because we have not yet recieved the key from our landlord. Hopefully we can get it soon so we can enjoy the pool. It is pretty hot down here.

WEll that's the update for now. Love you all

Our Bags Are Packed We're Ready to Go.....

Wow I can't believe that the time has come to actually say goodbye to my family, my friends, my home, my work, and my comfortable life. Now I have to actually see what it is like to really grow up and be out on my own with Cody. I am so excited for our new adventure and our new life we are going to experience. I am going to miss my family so much. They are all my best friends and I absolutely love and adore my nieces and nephews. I have been living in this little Utopia where I have been able to be around my family, see my nieces and nephews grow up, have the perfect job with the perfect boss and perfect coworkers, and be in a wonderful ward. It has been a wonderful life to this point and it is just going to get better.
It has been a week full of goodbyes. Last week my office had a wonderful going away party for Caitlin and me. I do have to say that I had the best job in the world. It wasn't really my job that was great but the people I worked for and with. Dr. Childs and Bonnie are the best bosses. He was always there for me and was the most patient person with me, even when I would make big mistakes like break a patients tooth. :( That was a scary thing for me but he just said, "Better it break now than later." My coworkers were all wonderful, we were like a little family that was there for eachother and loved eachother so much. I do hope that when we come back Dr. Childs will have an opening for me to work for him again.
I have been trying to spend as much time with family as I possibly can, especially with my sister Amber. It has been so great. I am going to miss all of the family dinners, being able to just go over to my siblings house to say hi and play with my nieces and nephews, going shopping or running with my sisters. I am going to especially miss those summer days where we would just sit on the porch enjoying the sun while watching the kids play and laugh together. Those are some of the best times I have had.
Now it is time to go. Our things are all packed up in a huge horse trailer and we are going to make the trip down to vegas tomorrow. I am so excited and scared to death for what is to come. I am so grateful that we are going to be able to meet people in the church down there to make us feel comfortable and welcome. That is what is so wonderful about this church is you can go anywhere and the church is the same where you can have an instant bond with someone.
It is also crazy that all of our friends are moving at the same time. Some went to Vegas, England, and Idaho. We all going to advance in our education. We have made some really good friends and we are going to miss them greatly. We are excited to see what is going to come!!!This Cake was made for Caitlin and Me at our going away party. It really was an amazing cake.
Wyatt and I have been spending a lot of time together lately. He has been such a happy kid lately and has been so fun. I am going to miss my little guy so much!!

Caitlin, Dr. Childs, and Me
Steven and Brianne Hall are some of our really good friends. They are the last to leave of our group of friends. They are off to Idaho for a Doctoral Program in English.

I Can't Believe the Weekend is over!!

Our weekend was full of fun and work and went by way too fast. I went to Lake Tahoe on Friday with Amber, Jami, Liz Maile and all the kids. We had so much fun. It was fun playing with all the kids and watching them get so dirty playing in the dirt. Then on Saturday morning we had a very early morning garage sale. We had so much fun with Annacy having a very very profitable lemonade stand. How does a little girl make $11.00 selling lemonade at 10cents a cup. She was the cutest little sales woman. I have learned that when you need to make a little extra cash send your kids out to the street to sell lemonade.
While I was working hard at our garage sale Cody had VIP passes to the Reno-Tahoe Open and then was in a golf tournament at Red Hawk. He did awesome. He said that they would have done a lot better if his team wasn't drinking. I have never understood why people drink and play golf. Why impair your swing when you are trying to hit a little ball. I don't get it. On a good note, Cody did win the long drive competition of the tournament. He drove the ball 368 yards and won a brand new putter. He was pretty excited. We then ended the day with a BBQ at Brian's and Jami's. In all of that I had to fit in 2 tests and write a paper for my class. We had a great weekend with family and had a ton of fun. I am going to miss those fun weekends with the family when we move. There is nothing better than good family memories on the weekends.

Who Could resist to buy lemonade from this cute little girl? Annacy's very first lemonade stand.

The kids loved playing in the dirt and getting as dirty as possible.

Baby Megan was such a good sport. That was her 3rd time up to the lake since she has been born.

YAY!!!!

Yes I just finished my online summer class!!! It went by so fast because it was only four weeks. I have never taken an online class during the summer. It was really easy but the hardest part was keeping up with the schedule. My US Constitution test was the test determining if I passed the class or not. If I didn't get a 70 on the test then all of my other work doesn't matter. I think that is a lame policy. But I guess I have to do it. I did do very well on all of my papers and tests, but I still had to do well on this last test. I took it yesterday and I got a 69!!! AHHHHH!! Just my luck. I missed it by one point. I could take it again but I had to wait 2 days to take it, and 2 days would be too late. I thought I might try it today and I was able to get on and retake it. Yes!!! This time I got an 85%. So I am so excited because I did well in the class and I passed. What a relief.

Down with UPS!!!

Many of you might know that Cody is a HUGE golf fanatic. I seriously think that he thinks about golf at least 20 times a day. He loves the sport and I do have to say he is really good at it. (He would be even better if it wasn't so expensive to play) He did play at D'Andrea Golf course yesterday and he shot a 74 when par was 72. The guys that he was paired up with was so impressed that they asked him to play in a tournament next weekend. I think that is pretty cool.
He loves to sell and buy golf clubs, look at golf clubs on the internet constantly, and we have golf on in the background every sunday. I do like to have it on because it is relaxing background noise to fall asleep to. I do love that he has a passion for this sport and it really makes him happy. Sometimes he will walk around the house holding a golf club. Jami said it is like his binki!! :) :)
So the other day he had sold one of his drivers and was so excited to order a new driver from the Golf Warehouse that he had been looking at and researching for awhile now. He would call me from work and ask if there was a surprise for him in the mail. Finally the box arrived and it was all banged up. We didn't think too much about it until we opened up the box to find not only one driver but three pieces of the driver. Cody and I were both so upset because they are not cheap. The packaging was not done very well and it looks like something really heavy had fallen on it and crushed it. I don't even think Cody could have broken it like that if he tried. I was not very happy how UPS handled that shipment. I have never really been a fan because I have recieved a whole bunch of stuff through UPS and the packaging is always damaged or crushed. So the moral of this story is to support FEDEX 100% and that they are much better than UPS!!
Cody is going to be able to send the driver back to the distributor and get fully reimbursed for it. That is one good thing. Cody just won't have a driver for awhile now. :(

Before Cody opened up his long awaited package!!!

Huge disappointment!!!
